COIMBATORE: Collector Neeraj Mittal inaugurated a modern computer centre and science laboratory at the Sennanur Government High School here on Tuesday.

The Rotary Club of Temple Rio Salado, RI District 5510, Arizona, the U.S., along with the Rotary District’s funds and the RI Foundation’s contribution incurred Rs. 8.5 lakh to set up the facility at the school.

According to the president of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore West, A.V. Pathy, they also included the computer furniture, a false ceiling, 15 terminals, printers, Local Area Network network, UPS and other accessories. The project would also arrange for short-term courses for the teachers of the school to get trained in computer, its applications and other latest teaching methods.
