MADURAI: Members of the district unit of Tamil Nadu Medical Students’ Association (TNMSA) plan to take out a cycle rally to Chennai from here on Friday to press their demands.

R. Kannan, district president of TNMSA, said that the entire duration of the M.B.B.S. course should not be increased by a year to six-and-a-half. Appointments should be made on a permanent basis rather than on contract. Along with students under compulsory rotary residential internship (CRRI), the association has also planned to form a human chain at the Government Rajaji Hospital on Friday.
