COIMBATORE: Springboard Women’s Development Programme will be organised by the Centre for Women’s Studies, Avinashilingam University, on its own premises and PSGR Krishnammal College for Women from July to October.

The programme, which is in its second phase now, is aimed exclusively at women academicians, while the first phase included women from all categories. The programme is designed to enable women realise their full potential and provide skills and information relevant to make them improve their self esteem, says K.C.Leelavathy Sekar, Director of Centre for Women’s Studies. “It can be used as an empowering tool by women who attend it. The skills learnt through Springboard will help them manage themselves, their work and their homes better,” she adds.

Each participant would be given a 300-page workbook. Four workshops would be spread over a period of three months and guests would be invited to speak to the participants. Springboard also would assist women in building self-confidence, conflict resolution, problem solving, self-expression, motivation, help them in balancing work and home and managing oneself.
