LFC Ranipet bags first 2 ranks in SSLC exams

VELLORE: S. Aparna of Little Flower Convent (LFC) Girls Higher Secondary School, Ranipet, achieved the first rank in the district with 483 out of 500 marks, while M. Janani of the same school and D. Aravindkumar of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Katpadi, secured 481 marks and shared the second rank in the SSLC public examinations held this year.

G.P. Tamilselvi of National HSS, Gudiyatham, and M. Saranya of Auxilium Girls HSS, Gandhinagar, got the third rank with 479 marks. In the matriculation stream, Y. Raghavi Lakshmi of Shrishti Matriculation HSS, Brammapuram, Vellore, stood first with 1,058 marks out of 1100, while T. Loganayagi of the same school (1056 out of 1,100) was second.

S. Divya of St. Joseph MHSS, Veppur, and P. Abirami of Bharathidasanar MHSS, Arakkonam, secured 1,054 marks and shared the third rank. Among the Government schools, D. Aravindkumar of GBHSS, Katpadi, stood first with 481 marks, while M. Lakshmi of GGHS, Guruvarajapet, (473) and H. Karthika of GHS, Thamaraipakkam (472) obtained the second and third ranks respectively.

According to R. Pichai, Chief Educational Officer, Vellore, 74.8 per cent of the students had passed in SSLC, 92.6 per cent in matriculation, 89.5 per cent in AISLC and 87.8 per cent in the OSLC examinations in Vellore district.


A. Vaishnavi of the Government Girls HSS, Cheyyar, stood first with 486 marks out of 500 in Tiruvannamalai district in the X Standard public examinations held this year. P. Nagabhushanam of the same school was second with 482 marks.
