Patricide

A 60-year-old man was done to death allegedly by his son at Keelkattalai on Tuesday morning.

The Madipakkam police said that Paramasivam, a retired State Government employee, was arranging wooden logs at his house on Eswaran Koil Street, Keelkattalai. His son, Rajapandian, 37, an employee of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation, objected to his doing the work. The two had an argument and in a fit of rage, Rajapandian hit his father fatally with a log. The police have registered a case and arrested Rajapandian.
