For government’s medical insurance scheme

KRISHNAGIRI: As many as 11,157 families in 35 villages have been photographed for the State Government’s ‘Kalaignar Maruthuva Kappeetu Thittam’ in the district.

The process started on August 28 in Uthangarai taluk and it will continue till September 19, says a release from Collector V.K. Shanmugam.

The release said that nine hospitals were approved to give treatment under the scheme. They were Ashok Hospital, Lakshmi Hospital, Meera Nursing Home, SPS Hospital, Shanthi Hospital, Surya Hospital, Vijay Hospital, Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital in Hosur and Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital in Krishnagiri.

Separate counters for the scheme were being set up in these hospitals. More details can be had from the toll free number 1800 425 52670 at any time.

Besides, the beneficiaries could contact Murugesan, scheme coordinator, at 96269 88896 or the Special Deputy Tahsildhar (Social Welfare Scheme) at 94424 86969.

Special camps would be conducted for 20 days from September 20 in all the villages in Pochampalli taluk.

The camps would also be conducted in Krishnagiri, Hosur and Denkanikottai taluks soon, the press release added.
