TIRUCHI: Security was beefed up at the Tiruchi Railway Junction in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, on Thursday. Railway police personnel frisked baggages thoroughly.

The Railway Protection Force intensified the anti-sabotage checks. Sniffer dogs have been pressed into service, and the bomb detection squad was visiting most stations, the Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF, S.R. Gandhi said, adding that leave has been curtailed for the personnel to ensure maximum strength.
