TIRUCHI: The private candidates appearing for the class VIII public examinations December 2008 can apply under the instant permission scheme from November 19 – 25.

The candidates should have completed twelve and a half years on December 1, 2008. No minimum educational qualification was required. The candidates willing to write all the examinations and those who were appearing for the arrear papers should write the exams only under the current syllabus. They will have to a pay a fee of Rs. 625 – fee for the new syllabus Rs. 500 and examination fee of Rs. 125. The fee should be remitted in the government treasury.

The candidates could collect the application forms from the Regional Director of Government Examinations, I-A, Arabic College street, Tiruchi-620 020. The applications and the photos affixed on them should be attested by gazetted officers only.

The original chalan from the treasury, the original or the copy of the old marksheets or school TCs or the applicants birth certificate and a self-addressed envelop with stamps worth Rs. 22 affixed on them should be enclosed along with the filled in applications. The applicants should submit the applications in person at the office of the Regional Director of Government Examinations on or before November 25 (before 5.45 p.m). The applications received by post or by courier will not be accepted. The applications will not be accepted on November 22 and 23 (Saturday and Sunday).

The applications would be verified instantly by the officials and the hall tickets would be issued to the candidates on the same day, a press release of the Regional Director of Government Examinations, R. Chandrasekaran issued here on Friday said.
