Total number of voters in Theni district: 6,87,973

DINDIGUL: Integrated draft electoral rolls for all the seven Assembly segments of Dindigul Parliamentary constituency has been released here on Monday. Total voters in the district are 12,55,374 including 6,26,561 men and 6,28,813 women, up by 5.25 per cent when compared to previous draft electoral roll keeping January 1, 2008 as qualifying date.

Talking to pressperson here on Monday, Collector R. Vasuki said summary revision of electoral roll with January 1, 2009 as qualifying date will commence with immediate effect. The last date for filing of claims for inclusion, deletion and making corrections in the integrated roll is November 25. Special campaign would also take place between November 16 and 23 in all the designated centres.

The draft photo roll has been kept in all village panchayats, unions and municipalities and in all designated centres for public view, she added.

The Collector appealed to all eligible voters to submit necessary forms to prepare the final rolls without any fault.

Total voters in Palani assembly segment are 1,86,298 of which 93,802 were men and 92,496 women. In Odddanchatram, total voters are 1,76,869 including 88,645 men and 88,224 women. The number of voters in Athoor segment are 1,90,923 including 94,290 men and 96,633 women.

In Nilakottai, the total voters are 1,59,422 of which 79,491 were men and 79,931 women.

Natham has 1,88,376 voters, including 94,033 men and 94,343 women and Dindigul constituency has 1,62,037 voters of whom 80,817 were men and 81, 270 women.

Total voters in Vedasandur are 1,91,449 including 95,483 men and 95,966 women.

As per previous draft electoral roll that was prepared keeping January 1, 2008 as qualifying date, total voters in the district were 11,89,581, including 5,94,432 men and 5,95,149 women.


The total voters in the district are 6,87,973 of which men were 3,39,861 and women 3,48,112.

Total voters in Andipatti Assembly segment are 1,72,011 of which 84,846 are men and 87,165 women. In Periakulam, the total voters are 1,66,550 including 82,350 men and 84,200 women. Total voters in Bodinayakkanur segment are 1,75,739 including 87,172 men and 88,567 women. Cumbum segment has 1,73,673 including 85,493 men and 88,180 women.

Two other segments – Usilampatti and Samayanallur – of Periakulam Parliamentary constituency are in Madurai district.

Releasing the roll, Collector Muthuveeran said names in the roll would be read in special gram sabas on November 13 and 16.
