TAMBARAM: Two men were killed in separate accidents involving luxury cars in the southern suburbs of Chennai over the past two days.

On Thursday, S.Kothandam, a businessman living in Neelankarai, was killed on the spot when a car in which he was travelling, rammed a water tanker on East Coast Road. He was returning home when the driver of the car is reported to have lost control of the vehicle. He swerved to the left and rammed the lorry . The car driver escaped unhurt.

On Chennai Bypass on Wednesday, a second year MBA student died on the spot when a car in which he was travelling dashed the median. Traffic police said R.Kishore (23) of T.Nagar, was travelling in the car with two friends. He was seated on the front left seat of the car, driven by a friend Anand.

On the bridge over the Adyar in Anakaputhur, Anand is reported to have lost control of the car, that first hit the bridge wall and came to a halt after ramming the median. Kishore died on the spot while Anand and another friend Dhandapani sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment in a hospital at Porur, police added.
