Udhagamandalam: Strive to make a mark in life but do not lose sight of your social responsibilities.

Conveying this message while replying to felicitations offered at a function organized here on Saturday to honour him the first Vice-Chancellor of J.S.S. University, B. Suresh underscored the role of corporate sector responsibility in ensuring the well being of the society.

Individuals should repay what they have obtained from the society. People should struggle to reach the top but after reaching there, they should not forget to look back.

Along with the corporate sector social responsibility, citizens also should not forget their responsibilities to the society.

Assuring that JSS group of institutions will not be found wanting in extending a helping hand to society, Dr.Suresh said that in many ways this hill station and its people were different from those elsewhere. Former MLA T. Gundan said that strict adherence to protocol was one of the traits of Dr. Suresh. A Prominent Educationist P.C. Thomas said that the growth of JSS institutions here was synonymous with that of the vice chancellor. Udhagamandalam MLA B. Gopalan expressed the confidence that JSS University will attain great heights. Scientist M.J. Nanjan welcomed the gathering.

Industrialist K. Krishnakumar proposed a vote of thanks.
