CHENNAI: Narcotics Control Bureau officials seized 4.03 kg of opium, valued at Rs. 1.20 lakh, and arrested a passenger at the Erode railway station on Sunday. He had arrived from Gorakhpur by the Raptisagar Express.

S. Davidson Devasirvatham, Zonal Director, in a release stated that based on specific information, the officials intercepted G. Sakthivelu. The contraband was found concealed in a bedding.
