Coimbatore: Eight honest officials serving in various sensitive Government sections in the district were honoured for their outstanding integrity at a function got up by the Anti-Corruption Movement, Coimbatore District, here on Saturday.According to a release from N.K.Velu, secretary of the Movement, a number of people including students from eight colleges in and around Coimbatore city participated in the special awareness meeting on corruption organised on this occasion.Besides, an oratorical competition on “students’ role in the eradication of corruption” was organised. V.G.Dhanalaxmi of Hindustan Arts and Science College emerged the winner in the competition .While Abinaya of Sri Ramlainga Sowdambiga College stood second, Rajalingam Madhuri of Dr.N.G.P. Arts and Science College took the third spot.
