It will benefit people living in 20 villages
SALEM: A rural clinic established by the Action for Rural Rejuvenation of Isha Foundation was opened at Kullappa Naickanur village in Panamarathupatti near here on Monday.
Isha Founder Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev, inaugurating the clinic, called upon the people to strive hard to protect the environment, which is essential for human health. He urged the people to plant more saplings to increase the green cover, which would ensure better living conditions for the next generation.
Everyone in the State should plant at least one sapling, he stressed.
Foundation officials said that the clinic was established at a cost of Rs. 70 lakh. The clinic would extend quality health care services to the people in the rural areas. It would benefit people living in 20 villages and two tribal hamlets.
Foundation officials, a large number of people, elected representatives and officials attended the programme.
