CHENNAI: Officials of the Air Intelligence Unit of the Customs at the Chennai airport seized 550 pirated DVD copies of recently-released English movies from Mohammed Yusuf Navasukan (33) of Ilayangudi, Sivaganga district, who arrived from Colombo on Friday.

A release from Parminder Singh, Commissioner of Customs (Airport), said when the officials checked his baggage, they found pirated DVD copies.

Investigation revealed that while the passenger was waiting to board the flight at Colombo, a stranger approached him and gave him a bag . He was asked to hand it over to another person outside the Chennai airport. For this, he was offered Rs.3,000.
