DINDIGUL: Government school girls clinched almost all top district ranks in SSLC examination both in Dindigul and Theni districts.

In Dindigul, girls swept almost all top ranks in SSLC and matriculation examination this year leaving district third rank to a boy in matriculation stream. They shared all the top three district ranks with girls in an aided school in Dindigul.

G. Priya Dharshini of Government Higher Secondary School, Oddanchatram shared the district first rank with A. Sri Devi of St. Joseph’s Girls HSS Dindigul as both scored 491 marks. Ms. Priya, who wanted to become a dentist, said that she wanted to continue her plus two in the same school. Excellent coaching and planned preparation were behind her success. Another district topper Sri Devi wanted to become a doctor.

Second rank was shared by three girls. K. Nandhini of Government Girls HSS, Palani shared the district’s second rank with St. Joseph’s HSS girls R. Soundarya and S. Ramya Devi. All scored 490 marks. P. Nitya Lakshmi of Government HSS, Palani and G. Mukhila of St. Joseph’s HSS shared the third spot. Majority of district toppers wanted to take up medicine.
