COIMBATORE: The Congress legislator from Valparai in the district, Kovai Thangam, said here on Sunday that he would lead a fast on April 15 in the city to protest against the removal of three party men, including himself, from the posts of district presidents.

While Mr. Thangam was divested of the post of urban district president, Kuniamuthur Arumugham (president, Coimbatore South) and P.V. Mani (president, Coimbatore North) also lost their posts in a shuffle.

Talking to presspersons, Mr. Thangam blamed the shuffle on the Nilgiris MP R. Prabhu and the party observer for Tamil Nadu, Arun Kumar.
