DINDIGUL: “Bharatiya Janata Party will ally with any party that accepts Mr. L.K. Advani as prime ministerial candidate. Our relationship with AIADMK is very cordial,” said Pon. Radhakrishnan, party state vice-president.

Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, he stated that the BJP would stand on its own legs. “We welcome all parties. The party has been criticising only the functioning of the DMK-led State Government.

Reacting to the attack on the CPI(M) office in New Delhi, he said action must be taken against parties or persons who attacked. “We do not have second thoughts. But the DMK was the first in developing such a practice. The BJP office in Tamil Nadu was attacked by the DMK men.”

The BJP leader also strongly criticised denial of permission to hold a public meeting in Tenkasi.

Expressing grave concern over the remarks made by CPI State president T. Pandian and his suggestion to cadres to keep weapons as a safety measure, he said that the CPI leader must be arrested under Goondas Act.

Radhakrishnan was on his way to southern districts to explain achievements of former prime minister A.B. Vajpayee and expose the misdeeds and anti-people policies of the Congress-led Central government.
