KRISHNAGIRI: Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has said five districts, including Krishnagiri, will be brought under the e-governance project to ensure effective delivery of services. Launching the project in the district on Tuesday, he said all government departments would be computerised and networked. The other four districts to be covered included Tiruvarur, Perambalur, Ariyalur and Coimbatore. The facility would not only make administration easy but also ensure quick redress of public grievances, Mr. Karunanidhi said. The project envisaged delivery of all government services in an integrated manner at the doorsteps of the citizen at an affordable cost, he added.

The Chief Minister also distributed welfare assistance to 21,338 beneficiaries.
