Chennai: Following ‘Evano Oruvan’, which won rave reviews, and ‘Vaazhthukkal’ released this Pongal, actor Madhavan has announced his next film ‘Yaavarum Nalam’, produced by Adlabs.

Two National Award winners are to join hands in this bilingual project. The film is to be made in Tamil and Hindi.

Vikram K. Kumar, who won a National Award for his 10-minute film ‘Silent Scream’, will direct the ‘Yaavarum Nalam’, while ace cinematographer and National Award winner P.C. Sreeram will handle the camera.

Director Kumar says it will be a different film for the Tamil audience. “There are not fights, no violence, no bloodshed and no dance. But, we have songs, which will be tuned by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. The film begins with a scene that unfolds two years after the lead pair, Madhavan and Neethu Chandra, get married. Neethu Chandra has acted in Hindi films such as ‘Traffic Signal’ and in director Priyadharsan’s ‘Garam Masala’.

A mammoth set of an apartment was erected at Egmore by art director Sameer Sandha, and a major portion of the film is to be shot there. The film is expected to hit theatres this May.
