Last date for profession tax payment
CHENNAI: All Pay drawing officers and self drawing officers of State and central government departments, public sector undertakings/autonomous bodies other institutions, boards, employers, companies, firms in the private sector, professionals, TNGST assesses, self-employed persons, engaged in any business and commercial enterprises have to pay profession tax, before March 31, 2006 for second half of 2005-06. It can be paid by cheque or DD drawn in favour of "The Revenue Officer, Corporation of Chennai". Profession tax paid after March 31, 2006 will be received with penalty, says a release from the Chennai Corporation.
Lecture on prevention of child sexual abuse
The first Annual Tulir -Centre for the Prevention and Healing of Child Sexual Abuse Lecture will be delivered on Saturday by R.K.Raghavan, a retired director general of police. Mr.Raghavan will talk on 'New Frontiers in Policing: Investigating Child Abuse' at 4-30 p.m. at Freemasons Hall, 87, Ethiraj Salai, C-in-C Road, Egmore.

Blood donation camp organised
A blood donation camp was held on Monday at Sri Ram Polytechnic, Perumalpattu, Tiruvallur district. The camp was organised by A.D. Haribabu, the Tiruvallur district secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society. Another camp was organised on Tuesday at the Women's Christian College in Nungambakkam by the college principal.

Dog show for
