Yoga contests from tomorrow

MADURAI: The Yoga Confederation of India will organise the National Yoga Championships here on November 24 and 25.

More than 800 contestants from 18 States are expected to participate in the competitions. The Tamil Nadu Yoga Sports Development Association has made the arrangements for the conduct of the championships.

HSC mark statements

Mark statements for the September/October 2006 Higher Secondary Course examinations will be distributed to candidates from Thursday.

Students can get their mark statements at the following centres: Government Higher Secondary School, Usilampatti; P. K. N. Boys HSS, Tirumangalam; Lourdu Annai Girls HSS, K. Pudur, and Setupati HSS, North Veli Street.

Announcement hailed

The Tamil Nadu Advocates Tamil Sangam has hailed Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's announcement on introduction of Tamil as the official language of Madras High Court.


The Innisai Trust has invited research papers on music for its two-day seminar to be held in January next year.
