New bank branch opened
CHENNAI: UTI Bank has opened a branch on Fourth Main Road at Nanganallur on Wednesday. President of the bank C.P.Rangarajan said that the bank, which had 491 branches across the country, had a centralised database enabling customers to operate their accounts from anywhere.
Around 106 persons were screened at a free eye camp organised by the Hindu Mission Hospital at Sathiya Nagar, Kovilambakkam on Wednesday. Fourteen patients were referred to the hospital for eye surgeries.
A free screening camp for ear, nose and throat problems will be held at Krishna Eye and ENT Hospitals on Burkit Road, T. Nagar from April 1 to April 10 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Ph: 24355152.
A blood donation camp was conducted by the blood bank of Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu branch at Shopper's Stop, Chetpet, on Wednesday. The camp was organised by founder and president of Amrit Charitable Trust, S.Parthasarathy.
