Collectors of Ramanathapuram and Sivaganga districts have asked Hindu Adi Dravidars to apply for various economic development schemes, implemented by the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation Limited (TAHDCO).
Ramanathapuram Collector K. Nanthakumar and Sivaganga Collector V. Rajaraman in separate press releases, have asked eligible candidates to apply online by visiting the websitewww.application. tahdco.comor directly register the applications with the TAHDCO District Manager Office from July 17 to August 10. The candidates should be Hindu Adi Dravidars and should have completed 18 years of age. The age limit for those applying for self employment is 35 years and others 55 years, the release said. The candidates could apply to get assistance for land purchase (women), financial assistance for individuals, self employment programme for youths, revolving fund to self help groups (SHGs), economic assistance to SHGs and skill development training to SHG members. They could also avail financial assistance for special schemes such as setting up of petrol/diesel/gas bunks, hospitals, pharmacy, blood testing laboratories and optical shops.
Those appearing for civil services main examinations and those who passed Group I examinations could also avail financial assistance under the schemes, the Collectors said. The annual income ceiling for availing benefits under the special schemes would be Rs. 3 lakh and for others Rs. 1 lakh, they said.
