Krishnagiri: Applications are invited from those belonging to SC/ST and denotified communities for starting small business or industrial activity in the district.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Collector Mangat Ram Sharma said that the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing Development Corporation (TAHDCO) has arranged to extend term loans with subsidy to those from SC/ST and denotified communities.
Rs. 8 lakhs sanctioned
A sum of Rs.8.22 lakhs has been sanctioned for Krishnagiri district.
Loans would be provided for setting up small enterprises such as vegetable shops, tailoring and embroidery centres, flower shops, fruit processing units, pickles and jelly, milk products, bakery, internet, data processing, electrical services, motor rewinding, hotels and lamination centres.
The eligibility criteria would be a pass in Class VIII. Candidates should be between 18 and 35 years.
For availing themselves of the loans, the annual income ceiling has been fixed at Rs.18,460 for rural areas while for those in urban areas it has been fixed at Rs.28,536.
Before January 12
Applications filled and attached with photocopies of family card, residence, community and income certificates should be forwarded to the District Manager, TAHDCO, on or before January 12.
