Self-employment programme for Adi Dravidar youth
Collectors C.N. Maheshwaran (Krishnagiri) and R. Lilly (Dharmapuri) have invited applications from eligible persons for availing themselves of subsidy under the Self-Employment Scheme for Adi Dravidar Youth and the Entrepreneurship Development Scheme implemented through the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TAHDCO) for the year 2012-2013.
The Collectors said in the releases that under the Self-Employment Scheme for Adi Dravidar Youth, subsidy would be given for purchasing lands or development of land, Entrepreneur’s Economic Development Scheme, setting up of Allopathic, Siddha and Dental Clinics, petrol, diesel or cooking gas station, revolving fund for Women SHGs, Economic Development Loan for women SHGs, power connection under fast track scheme, discretionary fund and for taking up training for Indian Administrative Services etc.
Persons in the 18-35 age group, whose annual family income does not exceed Rs. 1 lakh, are eligible for assistance under the scheme.
Persons desirous of starting Siddha or dental clinics should have completed their professional courses. Under the Entrepreneurship Development Scheme, the aspiring persons should be in the age group of 18-35, and annual family income does not exceed Rs. 1 lakh, can apply for the subsidy.
The annual income of those desirous of setting up petrol, diesel or cooking gas retail outlets should be Rs. 3 lakh.
Aspiring candidates should apply through online in the website http://application.tahdco.com on or before October 10.
Before applying through online, the candidates should keep soft copies of their passport size photograph, ration card number, Community Certificate, Income Certificate their date of issue and number, TANGEDCO power usage card, project report and quotation for the purchase and educational qualifications etc.
Only those who receive call letters from the District Manager, TAHDCO should come in person on the specified date, the release said.
