MADURAI: Tamil Nadu Science Forum (TNSF) has invited applications from students for participation in an International Science Olympiad.

The event comprises writing National Standard Examinations in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the higher secondary level to be held on November 22 in Madurai.

A student can appear for all papers or any one of them. National toppers will be given training at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education in Mumbai to prepare them for International Olympiads held at various countries.

A release from TNSF says that top 300 successful students in each subject will be given certificates of merit and will qualify for the Indian National Olympiad.

Among them 35 toppers will get gold medals and complimentary books.

Further, the top five students in Physics and top four from Chemistry and Biology will be eligible to attend the International Science Olympiads in the respective subjects.


The students would also get scholarships of Rs. 5,000 per annum if they take B. Sc. Physics at the graduate level.
