COIMBATORE: Completed application forms for B. Tech (Horticulture) at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University should reach the Dean, TNAU, Coimbatore - 641003, before 5 p.m. on June 16.
Application forms and brochures can be obtained from the agricultural college of the university at Coimbatore, Madurai, Killikulam and Tiruchi; Agricultural Engineering College, Kumulur; Forest College, Mettupalayam; Horticultural College, Periyakulam; and Urban Horticultural Development Centre, Chennai.
The cost is Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for the Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidates). Forms could also be downloaded from www.tnau.ac.in.
Students who complete the course can become entrepreneurs in landscape architecture and designing, turf management, horticulture therapy, plant biotechnology, greenhouse construction, vegetable processing, environmental horticulture, supply chain management, organic gardening and certification. They can also become florists, pharma crop consultants and producers of cut flowers and fruits.
Admission will be made through the Tamil Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Examination (TNPCEE), conducted by Anna University. Students who have studied physics, chemistry and biology in Plus-Two are eligible, says a university release.
