Udhagamandalam: The Annual Credit Plan (ACP) for 2009-10 for the Nilgiris district was released by the Collector, Anandrao V. Patil, here recently. The Assistant General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, V.L. Satheesh Kumar, received the first copy. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Patil said that the ACP target was Rs. 635 crore.

The lion’s share of Rs. 383 crore has been allocated for agriculture and allied activities. While Rs. 124 crore will flow to the non-farm sector, other priority sectors will get Rs. 128 crore. He asked the bankers to accelerate disbursements and ensure that targets are achieved. Among those present was the Assistant General Manager, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, V. Suresh. The Lead District Manager, T. Palanisamy, proposed a vote of thanks.
