CUDDALORE: Annamalai University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NIS Sparta Ltd., an Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group company, to offer management programmes through the distance education mode. According to L.B.Venkatrangan, Vice-Chancellor, the collaboration would help corporate personnel become high-calibre professionals.

Applied management

To start with, MBA (applied management) and BBA (applied management) courses would be offered.

This arrangement would give an opportunity to establish industry-institute interaction as suggested by the All India Council for Technical Education and the University Grants Commission.

M. Rathinasabapathi, Registrar, S.B.Nageswara Rao, Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Kamini Prasad, Regional Vice-President, and Sanjay Chandhoke, Associate Vice-President of NIS Sparta were present at the signing of the MoU.
