Madurai cluster has experienced a steady business growth in the last few years

MADURAI: A new product delivery hub of Amway India was inaugurated here last week. The hub will cater to home delivery requirements in an around the city.

In a press release, Vice-President (South) of Amway India Pankaj Vassal said that Madurai was one of the top three markets for Amway in Tamil Nadu. The Madurai cluster had experienced a steady business growth in the last few years. It grew by 56 per cent in 2009 over the performance of 2008. The new facility, he said, would reduce the turnaround time as it had the capacity to store more products.

William S. Pinckney, Managing Director, Amway India, in his message, said that the company would focus on four key areas during 2010 — business excellence, consumer experience, distributor experience and products and brands. Amway, the release said, did not have any production facility in the country and almost 85 per cent of products sold by it were manufactured through seven third-party manufacturers in India.
