Over 58,000 students to appear in Salem and Namakkal
SALEM: Elaborate arrangements have been made for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations scheduled to commence on March 27 in Salem and Namakkal districts.
In Salem district, 39,479 students, including 18,651 girls, from 246 schools will sit for the examinations. Over 4,100 students from 119 schools are appearing for the matriculation examinations, which began on March 25.
A district-level examination committee has been formed to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations. Flying squads have been set up to prevent students from indulging in malpractices in the examination halls. Adequate security will be provided in all the examination centres.
Officials asked the students not to indulge in malpractices, copying or any other activities violating the examination rules. In Namakkal district, 18,535 students, including 8,699 girls, from 142 schools will take up the SSLC examinations in 64 centres. Over 3,200 students are appearing for the matriculation examinations.
