Udhagamandalam: All concerned should comply with the orders of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal, said State Agricultural Minister Veerapandi S. Arumugam here on Tuesday.

Speaking to press persons, he said that though he had expected a higher share for Tamil Nadu, he welcomed the final verdict.

If any of the parties refused to comply with the order their attitude should be condemned.

Cautioning that misuse of various subsidy schemes would be viewed very seriously, he said that the officials concerned would be dealt with stringently. During the current year horticulture development programmes under various schemes including the National Horticulture Mission and the Hill Area Development Programme were being implemented in the Nilgiris at a total cost of rupees 9.38 crore.

He added that in a phased manner all the eligible temporary hands would be made permanent.

Efforts would be made to organise the 2007 Annual Floral Carnival here in a spectacular manner.
