CHENNAI: The All-India Students Federation (AISF) will work out a strategy, along with the left and democratic students' unions, to fight the "twin-dangers of commercialisation and communalisation of education," its national president Rama Krishna Panda said on Thursday.
He told presspersons here that a special session would be devoted to "students solidarity" at the 26th national conference of the AISF, to be held in Chennai, from January 3 to 6, 2006. Functionaries of various students' organisations would exchange views on issues confronting students and educationists. The conference would issue a call to fight for secular, democratic and scientific education.
He accused the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government of adopting the policy pursued by the previous National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government in higher education.
