Malaysian low cost carrier Air Asia on Tuesday introduced of ‘fly-thru’ service to Singapore from Tiruchi and Kolkata via Kuala Lumpur.

Passengers flying to Singapore on the airline from the two cities are not required to go though immigration, collect their baggage or check-in again at Kuala Lumpur for their onward flight to Singapore.

Passengers using the facility can transfer seamlessly through the “fly-thru” transfer hall at the LCC Terminal at Kuala Lumpur, where they are issued a second boarding pass.

Their baggage is checked-in to the onward Singapore flight, according to a release from the airline.

Under the service, passengers are allowed to fly on Air Asia’s next available flight to Singapore in case of any late arrivals at Kuala Lumpur from Kolkata or Tiruchi, the release added.

The airline announced an all-inclusive launch fare of Rs. 7,113 from Kolkata and Tiruchi to Singapore via Kuala Lumpur. Passengers can avail the fare by booking at till June 30 for travel till December 15.
