The AIADMK will organise a protest meeting against the State government for failing to provide quality health care service at Government General Hospital and Stanely Hospital here, on July 10.

In a statement, party general secretary Jayalalithaa said the prestigious Government General Hospital was facing shortage of doctors, staff and medicines and lacking in infrastructure. Reports reveal that it has no stock of drugs prescribed by doctors.

She alleged that as angiogram was not available at GH, patients were being referred to Stanely Hospital, where the infrastructure was worse, causing inconvenience to them. Condemning careless attitude of the DMK government, which had not taken any effort to improve conditions in the two hospitals despite numerous complaints from patients, the AIADMK North Chennai district will organise a protest in front of Park Town Post Office.
