Agri Intex 2011, an agricultural exhibition, will be held here from July 28 to 31.

The event chairman, K.V. Sashidharan, has said in a release that the exhibition would focus on machinery and implements for small and medium-scale farmers as they faced labour shortage. About 300 participants were expected and the exhibition would be held at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex.

Organised by the Coimbatore District Small Industries' Association, the 11 {+t} {+h} edition of the fair would occupy 4,000

Participants were expected from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. The event was supported by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and was approved by the ITPO.


It would have a students' symposium, Krishi Vision 2020.

The exhibitors' profile would include those from horticulture, floriculture, irrigation and water management, farm machinery, equipment, seeds and fertilisers, agricultural technology, poultry and dairy, agricultural bio technology, research and development and food processing sectors.

Buyers, sourcing personnel, farmers, dealers, distributors, agricultural public and private sector members, consultants, technical experts, and those from agricultural institutions were expected to participate.
