TIRUVARUR: Admissions for the year 2010-11 are underway now at the Government Music School in Tiruvarur, according to a press release issued here, by Collector M. Chandrasekaran. The school functioning from No. 2, Pudu Theru, North Street, Tiruvarur, offers three years training in Vocal, Nagaswaram, Thavil, Devaram, Bharata Natyam, Violin and Mrithangam.
A Government certificate is given at the end of three years training. Free hostel and bus facilities are available for the students. Those, who want to join the school, should be in the age group of 12 to 25. Students should have passed seventh standard to take training in Vocal, Bharatha Nathyam, Violin and Mrithangam. They have to pay an annual fee of Rs. 152. Interested students can contact the Head Mistress of the school at Tiruvarur, the Collector said in a press release issued here on Tuesday.
