ERODE: Admission to the three-year certificate course in Government-run music school is in progress.
A press release which was issued here recently by the music school says that training in nadhaswaram, thavil, singing, violin, Thevaram and bharathanatyam are offered for boys, girls, men and women between 12 and 25 years, interested in learning music.
The annual fee is Rs. 152 and for students from Adi Dravida community fee concession will be arranged.
In addition to this, all students will get free bus pass.
The release further says that students upon completion of the training in six disciplines can register with the district employment office and placements will also be arranged.
They can work in temples and students of singing can work in Government and private schools.
Students of earlier batches had been placed in such a manner, the release further says.
