Members of the Tamil Nadu Udavikkaram Association for the Welfare of the Differently-abled on Sunday met the Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Pon Radhakrishnan and greeted him after he took charge.

K. Gopinath, State general secretary of the Association along with T. Vairamani and Deepak Kumar Gupta, State deputy general secretaries of the Association met the Minister and discussed their demands. Mr. Gopinath said that they spoke about making railway coaches and canteens more disabled-friendly, and amendments to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill, 2014, said a press release.
