SALEM: The dumping of iron rods, pipes and other materials on the one side of Seetharamchetti Road here poses danger to the vehicle users.
Some traders, engaged in selling used iron materials and scraps, dump their stock on the one side of the road, which witnesses heavy traffic everyday.
The road connects a number of residential colonies, markets including Leigh Bazaar and arterial roads.
A large number of people use the road to reach Sevvapet and Leigh Bazaar.
Many minor accidents involving two-wheeler riders have been reported.
Often two-wheeler riders lose their balance and fall on the road after hitting the iron rods lying on the road edges. Vehicle users have made repeated complaints to police officials regarding this. But no steps have been initiated.
We also took this issue to the Corporation officials asking them to prevent the traders from keeping their stock on the road, but no fruitful efforts were made to sort out the problem, they said.
