MADURAI: TV Varadharajen, a popular news presenter and actor-director will be staging his play in the city on Sunday (March 1). Conferred with many titles by major cultural associations, this consummate drama artiste displays a relentless charm and have been received well in many quarters.
The play to be staged is ‘Plastic Kadavul’, which talks about the use, misuse and abuse of credit cards. Credit cards, also dubbed as plastic money, has entered into the lives of middle class people and how the protagonist deals with tricky economic situations is dealt with a right mix of humour.
Already a major hit at the centres where it was staged, it is expected to be a rib tickler with a message.
Mr. Varadharajen launched his own troupe called United Visuals in the year 1994.
He has also acted in films and made his presence felt in the small screen through his performance in more than 40 serials, which includes one directed by K. Balachander. The venue is Lakshmi Sundaram Hall. The play will be staged both in the morning and evening.
