In a major relief to students and the schools that are venues for Standard X and XII public examinations, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has announced that it would be providing continuous power supply to the public examination venues.

In a press note issued here, A. Thangavelu, Chief Engineer (Distribution), Coimbatore Region, Tangedco, said that all the exam centres in Coimbatore and Tirupur districts would be supplied uninterrupted power between 9.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. when the examinations would be held. While the Plus-Two examinations, which commenced on Friday, would conclude on March 27, the SSLC examinations would commence on March 27 and would get over by April 12.
