CHENNAI: Having worked as an associate director for the first time in her dad’s film ‘Baba,’ Aishwarya Dhanush says working for the Karthi-starrer ‘Ayirathil Oruvan,’ has been an altogether different experience.
“In my first movie, all I did was to observe the director to learn the nuances. The second movie involved a lot of work. Director Selvaragavan is a taskmaster. It is both challenging and a learning experience,” she said, adding that the post-production works has delayed the audio release of the movie. The audio release is slated for next month.
A period drama, the movie is much-hyped for its off-beat storyline, with Karthi playing the role of an urban dude. She has also lent her voice to Reema Sen, the female lead in this movie. “It was accidental. Selvaragavan was testing voices and called me to try once. He found the voice suitable for the role and the actor and I was in. It is an amazing experience to dub for someone. One has to voice out someone else’s emotions. It is difficult but I am enjoying it.”
Even as the movie’s post production works are drawing to a close, Aishwarya has begun to plan her next project. With a script in hand, she will direct a movie and the project is expected to kick off this September.
“It will be a commercial entertainer in all respects. I believe that entertaining audiences is more important. They should feel the film gives them value for money,” she said. Film sources say actor Kamal Hassan will release the much-hyped audio of the movie. The songs are composed by G.V.Prakash, A.R.Rahman’s nephew.
