Proper roads to be laid to ensure bus connectivity to all hamlets, says Minister
Food Minister R. Kamaraj inaugurated seven new bus routes at a function organised by Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation here on Sunday. Collector S. Natarajan presided over the function.
The Minister inaugurated the new routes of Mannargudi–Puducherry (via Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Chidambaram, Cuddalore); Mannargudi–Elavanur (via Thalaiyamangalam, Kurichi, Idaichimoolai); Tirupampurm–Tiruvarur (via Nannilam, Peralam, Killukudi); Tiruvarur–Kumbakonam (Manakkal, Ayyampettai, Aravanakadu, Perumpannaiyur, Tiruvidaichery, Pudukudi, Nachiarkoil); Pallivarthi–Tiruvarur (Medical College, Moolangudi, Vadapathimangalam, Kulamanikkam); Govinthangudi–Papanasam (Inampuliyur, Nallur, Annukkudi); and Avalianallur–Nidamangalam–Papanasam (via Alangudi, Kethanur, Haridwaramangalam, Muniyur, Velangudi, Tirukarukavur). The Minister said the new bus routes would benefit all sections, especially students. The government was bent on providing bus connectivity to all the hamlets. Proper roads would be laid for this purpose.
