Government School in Maramadakki has registered cent per cent pass percentage

PUDUKOTTAI: A total of 18 Government Higher Secondary Schools in the district have achieved a record pass percentage, exceeding over and above 90 per cent in the Plus Two examinations held in March this year.

More interestingly, one of the schools in the coastal village Maramadakki, Government Girls Higher Secondary School had registered cent per cent pass percentage. All the 74 girl students have come out successful.

The district accounts for two Educational districts -- the Pudukottai Educational District and the Aranthangi Educational District _ and nine schools in each educational district had registered the outstanding pass percentage.

Pudukottai Educational District: Government Higher Secondary School, Perungalur 95.5 per cent 248 appeared and 237 passed; Sandaipettai 91.17 per cent 68 appeared and 62 passed; Parambur 92 per cent 62 appeared and 57 passed; Keeranur Girls' 91 per cent 335 appeared and 305 passed; Karaiyur 95.13 per cent 144 appeared and 137 passed; Tirugokarrnam 92 per cent 262 appeared and 241 passed; Raniar Girls 91.2 per cent 270 appeared and 202 passed; Annavasal 92.3 per cent 143 appeared and 132 passed; Alavayal 90 per cent; 32 appeared and 29 passed.

Aranthangi Educational District

Government Higher Secondary School, Manamelkudi 94.5 per cent 238 appeared and 225 passed; Vennavalkudi 90.6 per cent, 75 appeared and 68 passed; Kothamangalam 99.4 per cent, 166 appeared and 165 passed; Keezhanilaikottai 94.1 per cent, 86 appeared and 81 passed; Maramadakki cent per cent; All the 74 girls who appeared emerged successful; Kothamangalam Boys 95.8 per cent, 145 appeared and 139 passed; Lakshminarasimhapuram, 93.7 per cent, 128 appeared and 120 passed; Keeramangalam Girls, 94.7 per cent, 209 appeared and 198 passed; Alankudi Girls, 94.2 per cent, 331 appeared and 312 passed.
