A quarrel between three 12-year-olds ended in two of them stabbing the third with a pair of scissors at Hegganahalli. The injured boy, Salauddin alias Salman, who runs a vulcanising shop in the area, died in Victoria Hospital on Friday morning. The Rajagopalanagar police arrested the other two, both brothers and related to the dead boy.

The police said Salauddin had a fight with the brothers on March 30. The two, both students of a Government Higher Primary School, attacked him with a pair of scissors. “They stabbed him at least eight times and escaped from the spot. Local people rushed Salauddin to a nearby hospital from where he was shifted to the Victoria Hospital,” an officer at the Rajagopalanagar police station told The Hindu. Based on complaint lodged by Salauddin's father Saleem Pasha, the police arrested the brothers.
