As many as 10 Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) cadres have been arrested on Wednesday in connection with a petrol bomb attack on a container lorry.

The Cuddalore-bound lorry bearing motor cycles from Gurgaon came under attack when it was crossing Athiyanthal tank bund on Bangalore National Highway near here on May 2.

Sagger Khan (24), driver of the lorry belonging to Rajasthan, who sustained burns, died at CMC hospital Vellore early on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Tiruvannamalai taluk police booked a case over the attack, and arrested 10 people, all belonging to Pattali Makkal Katchi and from Periya Kottangal Village.

The arrested are V.Murugan (37), P.Ramesh (27), A.Elumalai (40), P.Ravi (45), R.Mani (39), V.Elumalai (30), A.Parthiban (25), P.Panneerselvam (28), A.Mani (46) and N.Selvam (30).
