The ruling Trinamool Congress said it was ‘quite confident’ of a good showing in the Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal where polling was held today in nine seats even as opposition CPI(M) accused the party of booth capturing and rigging. “Trinamool is like a good student whose government has diligently worked hard for three years. So, on the day of the examination we are relaxed and quite confident,” TMC national spokesperson Derek O’ Brien told PTI here.

The seats where polling was held were Howrah, Hooghly, Serampore, Bolpur, Arambagh, Burdwan East, Burdwan—Durgapur, Birbhum and Uluberia. PTI
