As part of the world-wide celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, the Capital City witnessed several events during the past two days.
At Rabindra Mandap on Monday, city-based Bengali cultural association Pragati hosted Kabi Pranam Utsav that was inaugurated by Governor M.C.Bhandare.
In a separate event on Monday, Utkal Bikash Yuva Parishad, Bhubaeswar hosted Tagore Jayanti at the Indira Park in the city with a Rabindra Sangeet concert by popular singer Soma Karmakar who regaled with more than 20 songs penned by Tagore. A number of musicians of the city attended the concert.
On Tuesday, the Orissa state chapter of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) organised a music and dance concert at Regional Medical Research Centre auditorium.
